ABSTRACT
El objetivo de la revisión fue describir los efectos de la hipoterapia en población con parálisis cerebral, con base en artículos científicos disponibles en bases de datos en el periodo de tiempo transcurrido desde el 2010 hasta el 2016. Se realizó una selección de artículos originales que mostraron los efectos de la hipoterapia en la parálisis cerebral. Se encontraron 55 artículos de los cuales se seleccionaron 19 para la revisión. El análisis permitió la categorización de los efectos de la hipoterapia en la parálisis cerebral en dos grupos de documentos: intervenciones y revisiones sistemáticas, y metaanálisis. Las áreas donde mejores resultados se evidenciaron fueron el equilibrio, las funciones motoras gruesas, la sociabilidad, afectividad, el desplazamiento y la simetría. La hipoterapia es un método complementario en el proceso de Neurorehabilitación en la parálisis cerebral, no solo por su efecto a nivel neuromotor, sino también en el estado anímico y conductual del paciente, favoreciendo el aprendizaje y el control motor.
The objective of the review was to describe the effects of Hippotherapy in people with cerebral palsy; with basis in articles scientific available in databases in the period of time elapsed between 2010 and 2016. A selection of original articles that showed the effects of Hippotherapy in cerebral palsy was made. 55 articles were found out of which 19 were selected for review. The analysis allowed the categorization of the effects of Hippotherapy in cerebral palsy in two groups of documents: interventions and systematic reviews and meta-analysis. The areas where the best results were found were balance, gross motor functions, sociability, affection, displacement, and symmetry. The hippotherapy is a complementary method in the process of Neurorehabilitation in the cerebral palsy, not only for its effects at a neuromotor level, but also for its benefits in the mental and behavioral condition of the patient, promoting learning and the motor functions.
